The Energie Steiermark AG Group
Energie Steiermark AG is Austria’s fourth biggest energy
company. Its core business segments are electricity, natural
gas, district heating and residual waste management, waste
processing and recycling. Its majority shareholder is
Land
Steiermark with 75% minus one share. Societé
d'Investissement en Autriche, an investment company of the
French energy company
Electricité de France (EdF), holds 25% plus one share.
Energie Steiermark sells 8,000 GWh of electricity, 1,200 mio. cubic metres of natural gas, and 2,300 GWh of district
heating on domestic as well as on foreign markets. The
Group’s turnover is app. € 1,3 billion.
